Good morning! I’m so excited to be joining the Ornament Exchange party again this year! There are 48 of us this year participating! The rules of the challenge were simple: be partnered with a fellow blogger, create a handmade ornament for $15 or under, create a tutorial, and ship the ornament off to a new home! The other exciting part is that you can join in too! If you have an ornament you have crafted, you can add it to the InLinkz Linkup at the bottom of the page. I can’t wait to see what everyone has created, so let’s get the party started!!

Seashell and Driftwood Ornament

Good morning! I have an exciting post today! I am taking part in MyPinterventures Ornament Exchange! (Thanks Erlene!) I believe this is the 4th year I have participated in the exchange and it’s fun to see what all the other bloggers come up with for their ornaments and see what your partner made for you!

I was partnered with Michelle from Coastal Bohemian. Of course, coastal always works for me! I picked up the driftwood from the beach this past summer and I bought the small seashells ($2.99) and charms ($1.99) from Michaels. I already had the pretty string from another project. Other than those pieces, I just needed my drill and my hot glue gun.

I started out by drilling a hole in the top of each piece of driftwood, so there would be a place for the string. This was pretty easy since the wood is so soft.

I picked which charms I wanted to use and snipped off the ring at the top with wire cutters. I used hot glue to attach it to the driftwood.

I played around with different placement of the seashells, trying out different colors and sizes. Once I was happy with it, I hot glued them into place.

The last step was to tie a piece of string through the hole so it could hang from the tree.

They turned out so pretty! I’m going to make a couple of extra for my own tree too.

I hope Michelle enjoys hanging these on her tree as much as I enjoyed making them.

The pretty colors and seashells immediately take me back to the beach.

Thanksgiving Crafts

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well. Thanksgiving is around the corner and then it’s Christmas! Is everyone excited!!!

This week is some kids crafts. Something for the kids to do while they are waiting for dinner to be ready on Thanksgiving. Some of these are pretty easy and others need a little more adult supervision. But they are all cute and fun! Enjoy!

Good morning! Well, it’s November! That means in blog land, it’s time to get out the Christmas decorations! I haven’t quite got there yet, so I thought I would share my Thanksgiving table from last year. Enjoy!

I bought this great big fat pumpkin when I went to the pumpkin patch with my class and it has been waiting to be the star of the table! I love it!

I was able to cut a few small branches of magnolia leaves from my neighbors tree (shhh) to use on the table too. I added in a few pussy-willow branches and some golden acorns.

The candlelight glowing on the white hydrangeas and leaves look so pretty.

Adding in lots of textures gives the table a cozy and homey feel. Rattan place-mats and burlap pumpkins combined with the leaves and flowers add just the right touch.

I added just a little bit of orange and turquoise too.

Thanksgiving Decor

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. My Halloween consisted of playing cards and listening to the Coco soundtrack. It was a fantastic time.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time for Thanksgiving! It’s time to eat lots of food and be thankful for everything we have. And to give you some early inspiration, this whole post is focused on some beautiful decor. I hope you get some inspiration for Thanksgiving and enjoy!
