House update: Our house is sold!!! It only took 4 days and we were even offered a little bit more than what we put in on the market for! Now we just have to have everything else go smoothly and that part will be done. We have been looking at houses to buy too and boy, is it tiring and overwhelming! There are so many different aspects to look at, sometimes my brain goes on overload. I know the right one will come along, hopefully sooner, than later!

Last weekend, Haley had a friend visiting from Florida, and since my brain was tired, we spent the day along the coast. We live about 2 hours from the coast, so it makes a nice day-trip.

It was overcast and slightly foggy, but we could still wear shorts and t-shirts. Perfect! We walked a trail along some cliffs that took us to some areas with tide-pools.

Beautiful wildflowers along the way.

Unfortunately, the tide was still pretty high, even at low-tide, so we weren’t able to see too much sea life. But it was still nice to hear the sounds of the sea and smell the salt air.

We combed through the rocks and shells and found plenty to bring home.

Hello everyone! This corner news is a little bit different because I am here to talk a little about some of our doggie favorite websites! Basically, I did nothing interesting recently or if I did I have no pictures to prove it lol.

The first one is Hot Dog Collars.

This website is awesome! They have just about everything you could ever need for your pet to look awesome! They also have toys that are super cute and fun to play with. And they have a wide variety of designs. They have many categories and subcategories that you can look through to see if there is anything that you like. Now, if you have had a dog that needs to be busy and chew on something, you have probably heard of bully sticks. Welcome back to the Corner News. Let me get you filled in with the one thing that happened this week.

SCHOOL STARTED

Dun Dun Dun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it’s my last semester, and I am really hoping that it is already December so I can be done. But, I’m only taking 12 units so hopefully it all goes well.

So, I will be graduating with a kinesiology degree with an emphasis in exercise science. And what will I be doing with this. Absolutely nothing. That’s right. I got sick and tired of the degree, but I was too far along into the degree to switch majors, so I just decided to finish it out.

That and I just changed my whole idea of what I wanted to do anyway.

I was going to use this degree as a stepping stone to get to animal physical therapy. But, when I realized that I needed to get a doctorate in physical therapy before I went in for my animal PT certificate (yep, Dr. Lauren…) I realized I didn’t want to go to school for that long and changed what I wanted to do. I am currently thinking of doing animal behaviorism and dog training. But, I will take some time off from school after I have graduated and re-evaluate my life choice.

So, that’s what’s going on. And I will leave you with this “wonderful” picture of myself and my friends Darrius and Manuel after our emergency first responders class.

Good Saturday afternoon! Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned. We are hosting a bridal shower this morning, Lauren is hosting a Premier jewelry party tonight and Haley and I volunteer at the shelter on Sunday. I think I will be too tired to start setting up my classroom on Monday. Right? Can I use that as an excuse? Probably not. LOL.

Here is the special bridal chair Lauren put together. Isn’t it cute? The bride isn’t into foofoo, but oh well, She will have to deal with it!

I got to spend some time with my two favorite great-nieces on Friday. We sang and moved to some of my preschool songs, played with a dollhouse and spent time in the pool. I wish I could have gotten in with them. It was very hot.

Here is my front porch. I thought this was a good transition from summer to fall. It still looks cool and fresh, but is a little more muted than the bright summer colors I had out there. I found the cute little mushrooms at the .99 cent store. I love finding fun little decorating stuff like that.

Hello everyone! And welcome to another edition of the Corner News. This post is somewhat exciting…depending on what you think of it.

I start school in a little over a week. Boo! I don’t want to go back. But, it is my last semester in college and then I will be graduated and done with school. Hooray!

Next on the agenda is that I got two cats!

Their names are Target and Amelia and they were strays that were living at my work. They are pests…but I love them.

Target is a 1 and half tuxedo domestic short hair. She is the typical cat, where she thinks that I cater to her. And…she loves laying on the table, the exact place I don’t want her to be.

Amelia is a 4 month hold calico. She is, as a call her, a pain in my tushie. She is still very much a kitten, so her favorite thing to do attack my feet in the middle of the night and run around crazy while I’m trying to sleep.
