Canvas Factory is an awesome website with millions upon millions of photos that you can choose from for your home.  Not only can you pick from 13 different categories to search through the pictures, but you can add your own if you have a photo that you absolutely love and want to hang in your home.  And you don’t have to pick a canvas!  You could pick an acrylic or metal print as well.  There are so many different options for you to pick from!

Which is why this was so so difficult for me!

Now, I have a beautiful canvas that is hanging on my gallery wall in my living room.  It is a very simple picture of a compass (see link above), but it fits with all of my travel themed items.  But this time, I didn’t want to add to my living room again.  I wanted something different, for a different room in my apartment.

I thought about getting a Disney themed canvas for my future Disney gallery wall.  But I don’t know when that’s going to happen so I didn’t want to order something that I couldn’t put up right away.  And then I thought about getting a picture of succulents because I have been super into succulents and would love to hang a canvas in my kitchen with my hanging planter.  But then I found something better to go above my hanging planter.

And then it hit me.  It hit me almost as hard as a rock if someone had thrown it at me.  Why couldn’t I put a new canvas in my bedroom?

WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THIS BEFORE????

My bedroom is all Paris themed (which, if you’ve seen my past apartment tours you may remember).  I have a lot of Paris themed pictures to hang on my wall but recently I found a new space on my wall for a picture.  It wasn’t a big space but it was perfect size for a new canvas.

So I hopped over to Canvas Factory and searched ‘Eiffel Tower’ and I got I don’t know how many results.  But it was a lot.  And I searched through them all until I found the one.  The one single photo that I wanted on my wall.  So with a few more clicks, I picked out my size and ordered it right to my door.

And this is the result.

Paris Canvas 3

How pretty is this canvas?  Not only does it feature the Eiffel Tower but it shows the river and the beautiful sunset in the background.  I also love that it fits perfectly under my little blingy Paris sign.  It’s almost like it was meant to be.

Here’s a couple more photos of the mini gallery wall that I have in my bedroom.

I have this mini gallery wall above some of my small display.  It’s not all Paris themed, like the rest of the room, but it all works together.  A cute purse, some flowers, a Paris tote, and an old fashion shoe bag that I drew a Banksy picture on.  It’s all so cute!  Everything works so perfectly together and I couldn’t be happier with the result!

Now!  You’ve made it to the end and guess what!  There is a chance to win a free canvas from Canvas Factory!  The people at Canvas Factory have been nice enough to let one lucky person get a canvas as well!  So if you click down below you will be taken to the place to enter the raffle.  This will be open for one full week (July 17-July 24) and the winner will be announced in the Top 10ish Round Up on July 26th.  Make sure you enter you do each of the options to get the most amount of entries!

Disney Wall Inspiration

Hello!  How is everyone doing?  I hope you are all doing well and are ready for the weekend, because I know I am!

So this week’s post is because I am depressed because I am not in Disneyland.  Crazy…I know… but I am working on trying to help my Disney depression by building a gallery wall.  In my hallway.  So!  I needed some inspiration and decided to share my inspiration with all of you!  Now, some of these things were too cool not to share, but they unfortunately don’t have any links.  So enjoy!

Adding to the Gallery Wall + A Giveaway!

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a great week and you are ready for the weekend.  Did anything exciting happen during the week?

*This is a sponsored blog post and contains content from an affiliate*

I don’t know how many of you remember, but we worked with Canvas Factory before.  This website creates some of the highest quality canvas pictures and they turn out absolutely amazing!  You can either use a picture that is already on their website or you can upload one of your own.  And there are so many ways you can customize your pictures and make them your own!

While exploring the pictures on the website, I couldn’t decide what kind of picture I wanted.  After searching through all of the pictures, I finally came across one that I liked.  Something simple to add to my gallery wall.

And I came across this!  And I fell in love!Full Picture

Isn’t it pretty!  It’s very simple but gorgeous.  Though it is slightly hard to tell from the picture, the compass is actually a dark blue color, not black.  But either way, it looks great with all of the other pictures!

So, now I have added this and a few other pieces to my wall and it is slowly getting closer to being finished.  But…I still have a ways to go until I can finally say the wall is done.

Partial WallFull Wall

I think it is looking fabulous!  Just a few more arrows and words and it will be finished.  I never realized how much work actually went into putting a gallery wall together.  But I’m having a lot of fun doing it!

Now how would you guys like to get a free canvas from Canvas Factory???  I know, awesome isn’t it!  All you need to do is following the link below and there are a few options of things you can do to be entered into the raffle!  You have until September 20th at 11:59 pm to enter and I will be announcing the winner in my blog for next week.  So check it out and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Hello!  Welcome back to the blog!  I hope that have all had a wonderful week and have awesome plans for the weekend?

This project was a lot of fun for me to work on.  Even though it is very simple, it was a still a blast to work on.

As you may have seen the gallery wall that I am working on in my living room.  You know, the one with all of the maps.  Anyway, I wanted something to add to the wall that didn’t scream MAPS!

So while meandering through Michaels one day I came across a bunch of letters.  They were in the spring clearance, but I didn’t have enough letters to make any great words.  So, I went to the wood section and found all the letters that I wanted for my wall.  I then made my way to scrapbooking where I picked out my paper.

Wander Supplies

So here are my supplies!  I decided to go with the word Wander because it has to do with adventures and traveling, but it’s not 100% travel.  And the paper is so cute!  I love the wood with the little bit of pink in it.  So all you need is the paper you like, letters, glue, a pencil, and a pair of scissors.

Tracing Letters

First, you need to trace you letters.  If you are tracing on the backside of the paper, remember to lay your letters down backwards to the print is correct!  After you do that, it’s time to cut.

Before I Glue

I double checked to make sure the paper fits correctly on the letters.  And then the gluing started.  I put the glue down and used a paintbrush to make the glue even across the letter.  I then laid the paper down and smoothed it out so there were no bubbles.

I then took the paper with the hearts (that had maps in them mind you) and cut out some of the hearts that had a lot of pink on them.  They were placed on the letters and glued down to add extra flair on the letters.

And then it was done!

Now, I only have the letters sitting on top of my middle map until I can enough command strips, but I love it!  I really like the look of the letters and I think that it fits really well with the travel/adventure theme.  I also really like the small hearts on each letter; it adds a bit of femininity.

I can’t wait to actually mount these letters on the wall and keep the gallery wall going!

New Gallery Wall in the Dining Room

Hi everyone! Did you all have a good weekend? I drove up into our mountains with Haley and enjoyed the beauty up there. It was so nice and green and the water in the river was flowing. I love the sound of the water running over the rocks. It’s so relaxing.

I have been trying to complete lots of little things around the house, but nothing is quite finished or it’s not enough to be blog-worthy. We have just about completed the entryway-I am painting the floor this week. Probably won’t get the stenciling done right away, but at least it will look better. We have had quite the adventure with the light fixture. I was going to order the one on Amazon, and then thought I would just see if there was anything similar at the local stores. I found the hanging lights where you can add whatever shade you want and thought that would work instead. There are so many pretty shades! But then we couldn’t find what we needed to hang it without it being too long. I also realized I already had a drum shade from the old house. We finally took everything back and found the ceiling fixture we needed and now it is finally up. That’s what happens when you try to be creative and not have something everyone else does! 🙂

I did manage to finally hang up some pictures on my dining room wall. I took everything out that I had and laid it all out on the floor. It stayed like this for an embarrassing long time. Here are just some of the pieces. I played with the different pieces until I found the way that looked best to my eye.

gallery pictures

Here’s what I came up with. You can see I used different shapes and different types of textures. Using different textures allows you to have a more neutral wall, but not look boring.I also try to use odd numbers, whether on the wall or in a vignette.

On this side I used a metal diamond shape piece, a round rattan mirror and a square canvas.

gallery wall mirror, metal, beach

Here I have a metal star, and wooden frame with a printable in the middle and a metal round piece that was actually a charger plate I found on clearance at Target.

Here is my favorite piece! I know it’s a little early for summer weather, but I am ready!

gallery wall summer subway sign

Here it is with the table. I love adding pattern with tablecloths and then adding items to the centerpiece. Using a tray helps things together and creates a vignette.

gallery wall dining room table and chairs

I added everything to a tray which helps create a focal point. It’s also easy to move out of the way if needed. I added a little bit of beach and a little bit of spring.

Well, one more thing to check off the list. This week is the entryway floor and the baseboards in the hall bathroom. I still don’t have anything over the couch in the family room, but oh well. I’m still on the search for the ‘perfect’ thing.

Hope you all have a great week! Talk to you next time!
