How to make your own Envelopes

It’s Friday! Friday!  Gotta get down on Friday!  Everybody’s looking forward to the weekend!  Weekend! (Bonus points if you sang the unfortunate tune of Rebecca Black’s song)

How was everyone’s week?  Anything out of the ordinary happen that you want to talk about?

This week I had a day off and was working on my stuff for Premier Designs.  If you didn’t know, I do sell the jewelry and love doing it!  But, something that happened recently was they got rid of the hostess envelopes.  NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I immediately knew I had to do something when I went to give a new hostess her information and some of the info didn’t make it to her.  I had put it all in the catalog that I gave her, but business cards fell out and it just didn’t feel right to just hand over the catalog without a proper envelope.

So I sat down to try and discover how to make my own envelope out of old catalog pages.  You can do this with catalogs or magazines or even large book pages.  Here are the supplies you will need.

Supplies

Supplies

2 pages.  They need to be the full pages, not just one side.  So you will need to take the staples out of the catalog to get the full page.

A Ruler

Pencil

Glue stick

Scissors

Step 1.  Decide which sides you want to use for your front and back.  You are going to have 4 sides to choose from, so choose wisely!

Step 2.  Fold the top of the short side of the page you decided would be the back.  I measured it to be 1 1/2 inches.  It needs to be folded to the inside, so I found it easier to mark the side you want on the outside and follow that line to fold.  Glue it down.

Step 3. Fold the bottom of the short side of the page you decided would be the back.  I measured it to be 3/4 of an inch.  This needs to be folded on the outside and glued down.  I then glued the other page to the fold and folded it again.  Now the two pages are attached.

Bottom Fold

Step 4.  Fold the long sides to seal the envelope.  I measured it to be 3/4 of an inch.  They get folded to the back side of the envelope.  I also folded the bottom corner in a small triangle to make the corner more even.

Step 5. Cut the fold on the top.  If you don’t cut this, you won’t be able to fold the top properly to seal the envelope.

Small Cut

Step 6.  Fold the corners on the top flap so they are even with the first fold you made.  This will help make the top flap easier to fold over.

Folded Top Corner

And Taadaa!  You are complete!  Though it may seem a little confusing, I promise that it will turn into a fun, cute envelope!

If you have any questions on how to put the envelope together, please feel free to ask.  I hope that you can use this information to make your own cute envelopes!  Let me know if you make any cute envelopes!

Fabulous Finds and Fashions-More Premier Designs!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to another Fabulous Finds and Fashions!  This week, I am going to show you…MORE JEWELRY!

I am now a seller for Premier Designs, so I recently received my boutique.  This is basically the best thing ever!  There was so much jewelry and I cannot wait to wear it all and show it off to my friends and family who are hosting shows.

So here are some of my favorite pieces.  The first necklace is called Stunning.  It is a four layered necklace and each piece can be worn as a separate necklace.  So basically you have a four in one necklace!

Next is the Spring Break necklace.  I don’t normally go for this kind of necklace, but this one is really pretty.  This one can be worn as two separate necklaces.

The third necklace is called Fine Art.  Again, it can be worn as two separate necklaces and it is super pretty!  It has a bit of a Aztec feel to it with the color combination.

Next are two of my favorite bracelets.  The first one is called On the Edge and it is a wrap around bracelet.  It has two snaps on it the back so it can be worn at two different sizes depending on the size of your wrist.  I also like the gold chain, on the outside.  How pretty is that?  The other bracelet is called Starlet.  The bracelet come in two different colors and it also has the two snaps on the back.  I also like the blingy pieces, but then again, who wouldn’t?

Finally, my two favorite rings are Stately and Sophia.  Stately is blingy and very girly where as Sophia is a bit more reserved.  Sophia also looks great with the In the Loop earrings.  They have the same patterned design on them would look great together.  The other earrings are Round About.  Again, not my normal look for earring, but I really like them.  I don’t know why, maybe my style is changing.

And that is some of my favorite pieces from the Premier Designs boutique.  I cannot wait to wear them out and about to see what others think.  If you own any Premier Designs jewelry, do you have a favorite piece?  Let me know in the comments below!

Fabulous Finds and Fashions-Premier Jewelry Edition

Hello everyone!  It is time for yet another Fabulous Finds and Fashions blog post!  This week, we are talking more Premier Design Jewelry!  Hooray!

I received the jewelry that I had ordered from my party (which was on the 20th).  Yippee!  It is absolutely amazing and I am sharing it all with you!

The first thing that I received was a necklace called Kaleidoscope.  This necklace is “baby proof” because it has a magnet connector so you can be worn different ways.  It looks great with many different colors and I love it!  I also paired the necklace with the Nova earrings.Kaleidoscope and Nova

The next thing that I got was a pair of silver Stiletto earrings.  They also come in gold, and I would like for Premier to come out with a rose gold set also.

Next is another pair of earrings.  These are called Sorbet and they match my Sugar Rush necklace.  I am so excited to wear them together when I get the chance.

Finally I got another necklace called Modern Luxe.  It is rose gold and has a pretty diamond on it as well.  This necklace can be worn long or worn short.  Honestly, I like it better long.  But it is still pretty worn short as well.

And that is it.  I am happy to have a whole lot of new jewelry for my collection.  I can’t wait to wear it to school and special occasions and let people see what I have!

Organizing my Jewelry Organizer!

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is having a great week and you are preparing to have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Last weekend, I hosted a party for my friend Breanne who sells Premier Design Jewelry.  If you don’t know anything about Premier Design, it is a Christian based direct sales company that helps women financially.   They have some absolutely beautiful jewelry and it is totally worth the price.

And since I hosted a party, I will be getting a great deal on jewelry.  I get a lot of jewelry for free!  I am super excited to get all of my jewelry and give all of my friends jewelry as well.  Hooray!

Premier Jewelry and Organizer

But, now that I have all of this jewelry, I need a way to organize it all.  Breanne gave me a jewelry organizer to put all of my bling into.  So, I laid all of my jewelry out to show you!

I have the Sugar Rush necklace.

The Trunk Show necklace.

Half of the Pick of the Litter earrings, Haley has the other half.

And two hostess bracelets since I hosted this party and will be hosting another one in November.  I have a silver and a rose gold bracelet.

So, the jewelry fits in the organizer…to a point.  The board that the earrings are on didn’t fit in one of the slots, and my Sugar Rush necklace became tangled…not fun to take apart and put back together.

So, my initial thought was to take my other jewelry organizer, which is completely full, and use it for my Premier Design stuff.  Now that may seem like a lot more work (yes…it was) but in the end it was worth it.

I then went through all of my jewelry and kept some jewelry and of course got rid of some stuff.  But it was all good because now I can use the big organizer for all of my Premier jewelry.

Jewelry to Get Rid of

So this is all of my random jewelry in the new organizer.

Variety in New Organizer

And now that I have my new stuff, on the old organizer (confusing…yes).  And I put labels for each item so I know what I have and what I don’t have.

So much nicer!  And I don’t have to worry about my bigger pieces, like Sugar Rush, getting tangled up because they are hanging.  Plus, I have plenty more room to add more pieces after I get my free jewelry!

Fabulous Finds and Fashions-Premier Design Edition

Hello everyone!  And welcome to another Fabulous Finds and Fashions.  This week, I am showing off a beautiful piece of jewelry that I recently got and I needed to find things to wear it with.

So, some of you may have heard of Premier Designs Jewelry.  It is a direct sales company that sells beautiful jewelry that is well made and can be worn many different ways.

Recently, my friend Rachel hosted a show from our friend Breanne.  And at that show, I picked out a beautiful necklace named Sugar Rush.  It can be worn so many different ways and it is absolutely beautiful no matter how you wear it.  So here are my different outfits to wear with my necklace.

Look 1: White Shirt with Full Necklace

Look One 1

So, I just bought this shirt when I went shopping with mom, but I love how it looks with the necklace.  I always thinks white looks good with the necklace.  I added denim capris and silver flip flops to finish off the look.

Look One 2

But see how full and pretty the necklace is?  Now, each of the silver strands can come off and the strand that is on the back comes off so it can be lengthened or shortened.  The three colored bead strands are all connected, but they look good as a necklace on their own.

Look Two: Grey Shirt and Silver Strands

Look Two 1

So I took some of the strands off of the necklace to just show off the silver strands.  I kept the denim capris and added black and white Aztec print Toms.

Look Two 3

I love the two different types of necklaces against the grey top.  They add a nice touch to the simple top.  The different colored beads in one of the strands add a small pop of color and the coins add a bit of design and fun to the necklace.

Look Three: Pink Shirt and Colored Beads

Look Three 1

The pink shirt happened to be the same color as the pink bead on the strand!  It worked out so perfectly!  I paired this with the denim capris and a pair of pink flip flops.

Look Three 2

This might be my favorite combination besides the full necklace.  It is so simple, but it is very pretty.  I also like how long the necklace is with the beads.

Well, that’s my new necklace and my new outfits.  I can’t wait to wear them out and about and see what everyone thinks!  Thanks for stopping by!
