My Christmas Home Tour

Good morning! We are part of the way through December already! Are you ready? Is your shopping done? I think I am done, but there always seems to be something else to buy! I do have my decorations up, so now I can sit back and enjoy. I hope you enjoy the little tour today!

I collect these little birds from Target, buying one each year. I set them up right in my entryway this year. I bought the birdcage at a yard sale, the wreath and white trees came from the 99 Cent Store. The white runner came from Hobby Lobby and is soooo soft! I love to just rub my hand across it each time I walk by.

Turning into the living room, I set up my frosted tree. I usually decorate this with a very coastal look, but this year I wanted to do something different. I kept the same white, silver and gold colors, but added in woodland animals. I bought about $20 worth of new ornaments at the 99 Cent Store, but the rest were pieces I already owned.

Ok, a penguin isn’t really a woodland animal, but he was too cute to not include!

I decided to hang the stockings on the mantle this year too. I added a couple more deer, a lantern, a lighted tree and a chalkboard.

Down the middle of the table, I lined up several lanterns, added some trees inside along with more woodland creatures.

This old kitchen cupboard belonged to my grandparents in their home. I love to decorate it with vintage style Christmas things. The old light up tree on the bottom shelf came from my grandma on my fathers side of the family.

This is my doggy corner! Each one has a handmade stocking and monogram. As you can see, they already have a few treats inside. I added a few of my other dog decorations on the bench. My daughter gave me the adorable gold and white wooden Christmas tree last year.

Here in my family room, I have my Disney tree! Lauren and I went through all the ornaments and found we had plenty of Disney ones to fill the tree. I love it! Most are mine, but there are also some from both girls.

Old movies and new ones.

Lady and the Tramp is my favorite old Disney movie!

And the iconic castle!

I posted about my village a couple of weeks ago. I set it up in my fireplace this year. I really like it here and I get to enjoy it every day. You can find it here.

Well, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! It’s been a tough year, and I am looking forward to what 2021 has to bring to us. Thank you all for following me. I love to read your comments and looks forward to meeting with you next year too!

Now, Lauren and I were both supposed to show our Christmas Trees today, but SOMEBODY hasn’t even put hers up yet. Ahem. So, it’s just mine today!

I bought the flocked tree a couple of years ago, and I love how it fits with the rest of my living room! It shows off all the coastal ornaments so well. I have another tree in my family room as well, and that one has all the family ornaments, so this one is just fancy and fun.

Of course, I have included some starfish and some of my Shiny Brights.  The diamond shaped mirror ornament is from my childhood. I have 3 sisters and we each received one of these mirrors in a different shape. I also see a few of my ornament exchange ones in this picture.  Here is the link to this years exchange and if you type ‘ornament exchange’ in the search box, you can find the past years also.

I added this vintage sled to place some of the presents in and a cozy fur throw to snuggle up with.

I made these sparkly initial chipboard letters for each of us to add to the tree too.

My tree goes perfectly with all my other coastal items in the room. Thank you so much for joining us each post. Welcome to all our newcomers too! We can’t wait to meet you all and hope you continue to stop by! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’s a Pink Christmas!

Hello everyone!  I hope you have all had a good week so far and I hope you are ready for the weekend.

*This blog post contains sponsored content.*

If you haven’t been around the blog for too long, you may not know my obsession with pink.  At one point I had pink in my hair, I have pink decor, pink pillow, even a small pink Christmas tree in my car that is there year round.  But that’s not the only thing pink this year.

I HAVE MY VERY OWN CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!

This is the first year that I have a Christmas tree that’s full sized, not just a little itty bitty tree.  I have my own space where I can decorate for Christmas however I want.

So, I decorated my tree in pink, black, and white!  And here it is!

Full Tree

I absolutely love how my tree turned out!  I have so many ornaments that fit perfectly for my tree.  I purchased a lot from places like Walmart and Dollar Tree, but I had others from my parents house that I brought with me.

I also received some ornaments along with the garlands from Oriental Trading Company.  I should’ve bought 2 of the black garlands, but I didn’t, so I ended up cutting it into three pieces to cover more of the tree.  Also, I absolutely love the pink beaded garland!  How good does it look on the tree?

Feather and Ornament

And what about feathers?  Yep, those came from Oriental.  Pink and grey ostrich feathers are perfect for sticking between the branches and adding some fluff to the tree!  Now if only the cats would stop going after them…

Ornaments

I also received some icicles, silver baubles, and white snowflakes to add more stuff to the tree.  Now, I thought that I had a lot of ornaments, but these helped me fill the tree even more.  They also made the tree the perfect tree!

Dark Tree

I am so happy with how my tree turned out.  I am in absolute love with it and it fits my personality perfectly.  Now if only I can get my cats to stop messing with the gifts under the tree…

Beachy Christmas in the Living Room

Good morning! Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? We had a relaxing day with my parents and niece and her family. Haley was home from school too. We took time to decorate our family Christmas tree too. It was a great way to spend some time together!

We can really start Christmas now, even though I have had my tree up for a couple of weeks already! I really love how my entryway, living room and dining room turned out! I love having a room that I can decorate and it pretty much stays that way. Today I am going to show you the entryway and living room. If I showed you the dining room too, it would definitely be picture overload!

I decorated my entryway with mostly neutrals. I received the ‘Have Yourself a Merry Christmas’ from Oriental Trading and it’s the perfect touch for this space. It even has little gold sparkles on it! I hung a couple of my sweater stockings, that I made a couple of years ago, underneath to hold little special trinkets in.

I used lots of gold and silver with one little touch of turquoise. I picked up the my different decor pieces from various pieces. I love the gold on the arrow and feather garland, along with the golden deer and the gold and silver Christmas Tree. Lauren bought me the tree last year right after we moved because we weren’t sure we would have time to put up our own tree. It seems I have been collecting bottle-brush trees these past 2 years, so I added a few of those to the table too.

I have been picking up these cute little birds from Target the past couple of years and he is perfect under the little dome of glass.

I had to add in my one little bit of turquoise!

On to the living room! I am so excited to finally get to decorate a room in coastal style! I even bought a new flocked tree to hang my beach ornaments on!

My mom found this sled at a Salvation Army years ago. I gave it a white paint job. I’ts the perfect place to keep a few special presents in.

I finally get to use all the beach and coastal ornaments I have been collecting for years. I added some starfish ornaments I found at Hobby Lobby, a lot of Shiny Brite ornaments I have picked up at thrift stores, and a few special pieces I have made or received.

See the fur blanket in the corner? It originally came from Target for $34.99, but I snagged it up at Goodwill for $13.99! I definitely wasn’t passing that up! You can find it on sale here.

I added a few things to a tray on the coffee table too. A golden deer, a small tree and a present make a nice little arrangement.

On my mantle, I kept my chalkboard and added words from a Christmas hymn. I added a couple of burlap trees, a lantern filled with turquoise and silver balls, more bottle brush trees and a cute little hedgehog. Isn’t he adorable! He came in a pack of 3, so there are a few more scattered around.

I made the tassel garland with some really fat white yarn. It adds so much coziness to the room.

Here are a few of the special ornaments from the Ornament Exchange I take part in each year. You can see each one by clicking on them here; starfish, sea urchin, and friends..

My sisters and I each had a mirror ornament when we were kids. Each of them was a different shape. Mine is the diamond you see here at the top of the tree.

I hope you have enjoyed the Christmas tour! I am absolutely loving how this room turned out! I will be back this week with the dining room!
