Fabulous Finds and Fashions-May 25, 2016

Hello everyone!  And welcome to another edition of Fabulous Finds and Fashions.  School is officially over, which means that summer is here and ready to go.

But there are always more outfits that need to be put together.

This week I was going through my closet to find things that I don’t really wear and I found this cute Chevron skirt.  I knew I had the skirt, but I didn’t know what to wear with it.  So, of course, this was my project for the week.

1. White Sequin Tank Top

Chevron Skirt 1

I love this top from Maurices.  It goes with so many things and it is easy to wear. And, of course, it happened to go well with the skirt.  I like how bright the top is compared to the muted skirt.  I paired this with Candies silver flip flops to finish off the look.

2. Black Tee Shirt

Chevron Skirt 2

Okay, so I know that this is kind of boring, but I like it.  The black shirt looks good with the muted colors of the skirt.  And, the shirt looks good either tucked in or out.  I paired this with my Bongo black shoes that finish off this casual summer look.

So, that’s all I have for this week.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my post and seeing my new outfits to wear.  Click on the pictures below to see what other Fabulous Finds and Fashions I have done!

Fabulous Finds and Fashions

Welcome to another edition of Fabulous Finds and Fashions.   Now, this post has both a fabulous find, and a fabulous fashion.

shopping girl with dog box

First on the docket, this absolutely adorable box that I found at Ross.  It was actually in the kids section, but who cares?  It isn’t that big, but it’s big enough to hold the items that I am selling on Poshmark so that I don’t accidentally wear them again.  I love the girl with all of her bags, and then the puppy is so tiny and cute!  It has handles on the side that makes it easy to carry and move around.  And it was only $7!

P.S.-if you want to follow me on Poshmark, find me at @2smallofacloset

Fila tennis shoes

My fabulous fashion is a pair of pink Fila tennis shoes that I also purchased from Ross.  They are so comfortable and perfect to wear to work.  And honestly, the only reason I purchased them was because I absolutely needed them (my previous tennis shoes had multiple holes in it and they needed to be thrown away).  I only paid $20 for these shoes and they are a great investment.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Fabulous Finds and Fashions.  I hope that you enjoyed this post and hope to see you later in the week!

FABULOUS FINDS & FASHIONS

Hi! I’m here today with some of my thrifty Goodwill finds. Sometimes, I actually find a bargain or two. Our Goodwill has some pretty wonky prices out there- sometimes, good, sometimes bad. Here is a good example. I had seen 2 of these Nate Berkus gold and white bowls, but they were priced individually at $3.99. I really didn’t want to pay that much, plus there were only 2.

I went back a couple of weeks later and there was a stack of 4 all being sold together. The price? $6.99 for 4. Um…something isn’t quite right there. 2 for $7.98 or 4 for $6.99? Yeah, I find that a lot.

My next find was even better! My daughter Haley is a huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan. Well, I’m not sure if it’s the movie or Johnny Depp.:) This book was sitting way on the top of the shelf. It was put out by Disney as a hardcover coffee table book and is priced at $50.00. The Goodwill price? $2.99! I can handle that!

The pictures are amazing! It shows sketches done by Disney artists, that depict scenes from the movies. There are also lots of storyboards. It is so cool to looks through. Here is a sketch of one of the ships.

Here is the artist rendition of Captain Jack Sparrow. I thing Johnny Depp decided on his own rendition!!!

My last bargain is a succulent wreath. I had read another blog where someone made one and she stated that you need about 25 succulent plants for the wreath. Well, even if I bought the plastic ones from the 99 Cent Store, it would cost me $25 just for the plants. This wreath was marked at $13.99, and it still had the Target tags on it. I figured that was a pretty good deal. I took it to the register and the cashier took 70% off because he said it was a Christmas item! What…! I told Lauren to grab the other one too and I got them each for $4.19! Thank you cashier!

I’m excited to be able to put this up for summer! Thanks for coming by today!
