Beachy Christmas in the Dining Room

Good morning! I don’t usually show up on a Wednesday, but I wanted to finish the tour of my living room/dining room! You can see my entryway and living room here. I just love having these rooms to decorate! It was so much fun to put it all together.

I received several of my items from Oriental Trading. It felt like an early Christmas when I opened up the box! I knew everything would look great in my turquoise and white dining room!

I found these very cool ombre’ turquoise and white trees at Hobby Lobby and I knew they would be perfect for my table! I almost waited too long, but snagged the last two!

I used my white dishes and layered them on top of these silver placemats from Oriental Trading. They added the perfect touch! I just checked the website and I don’t see the silver ones, but they do have gold. I also added little silver and white candy boxes to each place-setting to give as little gifts to my guests.

I added dark goblets, white fabric napkins, and a silver bowl filled with tiny ornaments.

Down the middle of the table, I placed some silver faux leaves, candles, pointsettias, wooden beads and silver deer.

I almost forgot about the pretty feathers! I added these to each place-setting and also some to my tree. There are lots of different colors and they add the perfect touch.

I added a few Christmas touches to my white hutch too. I found the boxwood tree at a thrift store and added some tiny turquoise berries to the little pitcher. Here is one more of my cute little hedgehogs!

I have been collecting these Shiny Brite ornaments for a few years now. Anytime I see them at thrift store, I pick them up. I was able to fill this driftwood bowl with them.

My turquoise and gold bar cart holds a couple of lanterns and my last little hedgehog! I stored some of my extra candy boxes on the bottom shelf.

My shelves stayed pretty much the same, just added in some Christmas touches. By keeping the background neutral I can add any other colors and it still looks great! I also added some white Christmas lights to add a little more sparkle!

I found these turquoise glittery snowflakes at Oriental Trading too. They come apart so they are really easy to store.

I have a box of Shiny Brite ornaments that once belonged to my dad’s mom. I love having these little special heirlooms to add to my rooms. This Merry Christmas ball is just one of them, so I figured it needed a place of honor.

I really enjoyed giving you a little tour and so glad you came by! I will be back with more next week!

Fabulous Finds and Fashions-Premier Design Edition

Hello everyone!  And welcome to another Fabulous Finds and Fashions.  This week, I am showing off a beautiful piece of jewelry that I recently got and I needed to find things to wear it with.

So, some of you may have heard of Premier Designs Jewelry.  It is a direct sales company that sells beautiful jewelry that is well made and can be worn many different ways.

Recently, my friend Rachel hosted a show from our friend Breanne.  And at that show, I picked out a beautiful necklace named Sugar Rush.  It can be worn so many different ways and it is absolutely beautiful no matter how you wear it.  So here are my different outfits to wear with my necklace.

Look 1: White Shirt with Full Necklace

Look One 1

So, I just bought this shirt when I went shopping with mom, but I love how it looks with the necklace.  I always thinks white looks good with the necklace.  I added denim capris and silver flip flops to finish off the look.

Look One 2

But see how full and pretty the necklace is?  Now, each of the silver strands can come off and the strand that is on the back comes off so it can be lengthened or shortened.  The three colored bead strands are all connected, but they look good as a necklace on their own.

Look Two: Grey Shirt and Silver Strands

Look Two 1

So I took some of the strands off of the necklace to just show off the silver strands.  I kept the denim capris and added black and white Aztec print Toms.

Look Two 3

I love the two different types of necklaces against the grey top.  They add a nice touch to the simple top.  The different colored beads in one of the strands add a small pop of color and the coins add a bit of design and fun to the necklace.

Look Three: Pink Shirt and Colored Beads

Look Three 1

The pink shirt happened to be the same color as the pink bead on the strand!  It worked out so perfectly!  I paired this with the denim capris and a pair of pink flip flops.

Look Three 2

This might be my favorite combination besides the full necklace.  It is so simple, but it is very pretty.  I also like how long the necklace is with the beads.

Well, that’s my new necklace and my new outfits.  I can’t wait to wear them out and about and see what everyone thinks!  Thanks for stopping by!

Gold, Silver & White Rustic Glam Table

Hello! Are you ready for Thanksgiving Day? What do you usually do to celebrate? We will be going to my sister’s this year and eating lots of good food! I’m sure there will be some football watching, maybe some board games, and good naps. Sounds about right!

I’ve been slowly doing some decorating, but I did manage to get my table ready to go. I decided to go with a gold, silver and white theme this year. Kind of Rustic Glam. I picked up a few things that worked perfectly and put it all together.

The day I took the pictures was a beautiful sunshiny day. It didn’t quite give the cozy and warm feeling of the holidays, but it gave great light for the pictures! I used a white tablecloth and a white scarf with silver sparkles for a runner.

I started out with silver chargers at the ends of the table and then layered on white plates. I found some lovely grey napkins at Home Goods. I wrote names on a piece of wood and attached it to a wooden napkin ring. I used the flatware from Oneida that I received as wedding gifts many years ago.

The other place setting have a gold charger, but the rest is the same.

I layered items on top of a wooden tray I picked up at Goodwill. I love using trays for centerpieces. It contains everything, plus you can just pick up the whole thing to move it out of the way. I found the sparkly burlap tree at Target and the sequined starfish was from Kohl’s several years ago.

This serene deer came from Goodwill too. I thought he was so pretty and he works perfectly on the table.

The tiered dish is from my MIL and this is the first time I have used it on my table. I added some ornaments that came from Target and some sweets for after dinner.

I fell in love with this bird when I saw it! I knew it must come home with me! I bought it a friend too. It sits at the other end of the table. The arrow and feather garland was a must-have too. It just called out my name!

The mercury glass jar was from Haley’s graduation and I picked up some sticks from my yard and spray painted them white. Then just plopped them in! I also added a little green with some cut evergreen from my yard.

Dining Room Christmas Centerpiece

I really like how this turned out this year. I usually use a lot more color, so this was a bit of a challenge. It really looks beautiful at night with the candles and tree lights glowing.

I hope you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving! Enjoy a day of family and friends and food!
