Good morning! I hope you are all doing fine wherever you are. I am doing good on this end. We had a nice sunny weekend and I wish this weather was here to stay, but we have more rain in the forecast this week. I posted this project before, but figured this was perfect for another spring and for using up some of the stuff I have at home.
I still have quite a few pieces of this painted wood and I found some scrabble-like letters in my scrap-booking stash, so I decided to put them together. I came up with some spring-like words and tried to keep them about the same length, but some are longer than others. I started by laying them out on the board.
I figured out I would need 3 inches between the bottom of one line of letters and the top of the next. I used a ruler and drew lines across so I would know where to line up the letters.
I added a line of glue just below the pencil line and started gluing on letters, making sure they were centered. I didn’t measure for the center, I just eyeballed it, but you can certainly do that.
total aside: I did change the spelling of blossoms!
I had some blank spots where I had to fill in, so I found some cute spring flowers from my scrap-booking stash too and after playing with it for a bit, found the right combinations. I ended up using only the yellow and pink.
I love how it turned out! It’s the perfect touch for my entryway.
I added a spring banner, some cute little eggs in a nest and a bird in a lantern.
I’ve been using this sign for a couple of years now, and I still love it!
Have you been having lovely spring weather too or are you still buried in snow? I hope you all have sunshine!! Thank you for stopping by today!
