Succulent Garden Round Up

Hello!  It’s finally Friday!  I am so ready for this weekend and I am ready for a break.  It has been a very long and very busy week at work.

So I know I did a garden round up a couple weeks ago, but this week I am doing another garden round up.  But this time it is specifically for succulent gardens.  I am in love with succulents at the moment.  Like…LOVE THEM!  I have tons of succulents on my front porch and I want to add much more.  So I was searching for some inspiration and here is what I found and wanted to share with you.  So, enjoy!

What’s been happening here!

Good morning! I’m so glad you stopped by today! I don’t have a new completed project today, but I wanted to catch you up on a few things that have been going on around here. I have some projects done, but got started on them before taking picture. Oops! I have some projects in the middle of completion, but I have one I can share next week! Yippee!

Here’s the project I will share next week:

I recovered two of my outdoor chairs with…shower curtains! I will detail the process next week. Don’t they look so pretty!

Project number 2: See the wall at the bottom right of the first picture? It was a half wall with posts on the top. Very 1960’s. My husband tore all that out and oh my goodness! What a difference! It really opened up the room! I love it! He also took the drywall off the header above the opening and we are going to try to make it look like a beam. I’m so excited!

Steve also made this plant holder. Lauren featured this on her Garden Round Up Friday post and we both decided we wanted one, so Steve got busy! I planted a couple of succulents and some basil seeds in the others. I love it by the fountain!

I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Garden Round Up

Hello!  It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, is everyone ready?  I’m ready to do some baking to take to all my coworkers who are more than happy to taste test everything.

This week I am giving you some gardening ideas.  Some are for indoors and some are for outdoors.  So feel free to gander through these and see if you get some inspiration!  Because I know I definitely did!

Fun Ideas To Do With Seashells

Good morning! Do you collect seashells like I do? Last week I showed you my new storage box I made for my collection.

I also made a seashell mobile to hang in my yard.

I’ve used them quite a bit in my decorating too!

I even made a seashell garland!

So what else can you make? I found some more ideas around the internet.

Shells can help keep your houseplants happy. By placing seashells on top of the soil, they helps to keep the moisture in the flower pot.

Of course, you can also decorate your flower pot.

Deep shells are perfect for planting succulents in. These are the cutest!

DIY Sea Urchin Succulent Planters- A lovely natural way to display your succulents is in sea urchin shells! Here is how to turn a bunch of empty shells into lovely DIY sea urchin succulent planters! This is such an easy craft, and the end result works great with beach themed decor! | indoor gardening, ways to decorate with succulents, #DIY #craft #succulent #beach

How about using a large open shell to hold your little items next to your bed? I love the gold on these!

This is so simple, I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it! A nightlight!

I made a garland, but not a wind-chime. this is so pretty!

Are you going to try any of these projects! The night-light is my first one! Have a great week!

Corner News-June 11-2016

Happy Saturday to you! How has your week been? This was my first week off and it was busy! I thought I was supposed to be resting! The shelter we volunteer at is holding a yard sale, so Haley and I have been helping to set up. We have gone to the gym a couple of times and have been busy cleaning out the house of clutter. You should see the pile of boxes!! My mom and I will be having a yard sale too, so I have to get it done before then. While cleaning out, what do I do? Go shopping for more, of course!

This gold platter/plate was at the shelter yard sale so I snatched it up. I love the scalloped edge on it. I have already painted it and plan to add a base so it can be a stand for goodies. I think I will cut some scrapbook paper for the bottom and then I can change it out for whatever occasion I use it for.

I also picked up this cute sweatshirt from the shelter yard sale. Do you recognize the seagull from Finding Nemo? Mine, mine, mine! I made it onto a dog bed using the directions from Handimania.com. I figured since the dogs fight over who goes where, this was perfect for them!

I found this plant at Goodwill this week. Sorry for the bad color, but it reminded me of the beach and now I really want to go!! Hopefully I will get a day or two to go enjoy the sand and surf.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and see you on Monday!
